Today was an exciting day here at AlpacaLand Montana—we welcomed our very first two cria of the year! Our first arrival was an adorable little boy with beautiful black fleece and a bright white spot on the top of his head. Just about an hour later, he was joined by a sweet little girl with rich brown fleece. Seeing healthy new babies take their first wobbly steps is one of our favorite moments every year, and we couldn't be happier to officially kick off baby season!

It's especially rewarding because we've been working hard through shearing season to get the herd ready for summer. We're happy to report that we've now shorn about two-thirds of our alpacas, and the whole herd is looking much more comfortable as the warmer weather settles in. Our goal is to finish shearing by the end of next week so we can turn our full attention to welcoming more little ones into the world.

Over the next several weeks, our pastures will become busier every day as more cria make their grand entrances. We can't wait to share photos and updates as our newest herd members grow, explore, and charm everyone they meet. Baby season is officially underway, and we couldn't be more excited to have you along for the journey!
