We were thrilled to welcome two more beautiful baby girls to the ranch this week! Every new cria is a special addition to the herd, and watching these little ones explore the pasture for the first time is always one of the highlights of summer. Both moms are doing a wonderful job, and their babies are already growing stronger and more curious each day.
One of the things we love most about alpacas is how devoted the mothers are to their crias. Alpaca moms stay close to their babies, gently encouraging them to nurse, keeping a watchful eye on them, and helping them learn about the world one careful step at a time.
