Give your guests a stay they’ll never forget. The Domester SDS “Snail” Domes are luxury, Sea-shaped glamping suites designed for high-end retreats, ranch stays, and boutique resorts. The curved shell creates a flowing interior with room for a full bedroom, lounge, and spa-style bathroom, while the tall glass front opens to your best views—alpacas, forests, mountains, beaches and sky.
Built on a galvanized steel frame and wrapped in durable PVDF/PVDH exterior panels, these domes are engineered to be weather-resistant, waterproof, wind- and snow-rated, and long-lasting—far beyond a typical tent.
The SDS 1050 and SDS 1100 sizes make ideal standalone suites for couples or small families, while larger models can serve as event lounges, wellness pavilions, or signature gathering spaces.
Why Guests Love the Snail Suites
-
Iconic spiral shape
The flowing “snail” design feels like a modern seashell or seed pod—organic, cozy, and completely different from standard cabins or yurts. It photographs beautifully from every angle, especially from above. -
Bright, airy interiors
The tall glass front and curved roof lines bring in tons of natural light, making the space feel bigger and more luxurious than the square footage suggests. -
True four-season comfort
A galvanized steel frame plus composite/PVDF exterior panels and insulation options create a solid, all-weather shell that can be outfitted with mini-split HVAC, radiant heat, or a stove for four-season use. -
Flexible, spa-like layouts
The interior can be configured with king bed, lounge seating, and ensuite bath (shower and/or soaking tub) in a graceful spiral, as shown in the layout concepts. Perfect for honeymooners, couples’ retreats, or “VIP pod” stays. -
Eco-minded construction
The SDS series was designed as an eco-friendly geodesic-inspired system, using durable materials that extend lifespan and reduce replacement waste, while the compact footprint sits lightly on your land.

Q: Which size is best for a couple’s retreat dome?
A: Most properties choose SDS 1050 or SDS 1100. The 1050 is great for a king bed, seating area, and compact bath; the 1100 gives extra room for a larger lounge, soaking tub, or workspace.
Q: Are the snail domes insulated and four-season?
A: The Domester SDS structure uses a galvanized steel frame with durable outer panels and can be specified with insulation and HVAC to handle a wide range of climates. Many operators use them in four-season environments with mini-split heat pumps or other heating systems. Always pair with a properly designed foundation and local code guidance.
Q: What kinds of foundations work?
A: Common choices include wood decks, concrete pads, or pier foundations sized by your contractor for local soil and snow/wind loads. The dome is bolted to the base for strength and stability.
Q: Can I customize the interior?
A: Yes. The SDS series is delivered as the structural shell; interior finishes, bathrooms, cabinetry, and decor are customizable so you can match your property style—modern, rustic, minimalist, or cozy. Many properties add draperies, round beds, soaking tubs, and built-in benches to highlight the spiral shape.
